Our Foundation helps communities worldwide become safer, more resilient and better prepared for disasters.
25 years ago, we created the JTI Foundation with a clear mission: to stand with communities in times of disaster. For a quarter of a century, we have supported millions of people in their most difficult moments.
Working with trusted partners, we help communities prepare for and recover from disasters – through training search and rescue teams, delivering life‑saving emergency aid, supporting landmine clearance and assisting those affected by floods, storms and earthquakes.
In 2025, we expanded the Foundation’s mandate, bringing JTI’s global WASH initiative under its umbrella. This broader focus allows us to work in new ways with partners worldwide – strengthening resilience, improving quality of life and contributing to a better future for communities before, during and beyond times of crisis.

Projects with our partners
At a time of elevated turmoil in the world there can be few priorities more important than building the resilience of communities threatened and affected by disasters.
We support projects that help people affected by disasters to rebuild their livelihoods. We also invest in long-term risk-reduction programs that raise community awareness and improve basic infrastructure.
In the face of a crisis, the JTI Foundation supports our partners’ emergency aid interventions including search and rescue, immediate relief, shelter, food, water and daily necessities.
A main focus of the Foundation’s work is long-term risk-reduction. Promoting risk-awareness and strengthening critical infrastructure in vulnerable communities is key to the success of their sustainable development.
The JTI Foundation identifies, funds, implements, monitors and evaluates projects that empower communities to create a better future.
The JTI Foundation supports large-scale, long-term programs. To deliver these, we partner with some of the world’s best-known and most accomplished organizations that specialize in disaster recovery and prevention. Our partners include field specialists that ensure our support is impactful and sustainable. We back our partners’ capacity-building to enhance their response to immediate crises, and we help them build strong long-term disaster risk reduction programs.
